so I know the pain. This is partly why I have not gotten 18" rims yet, I don't feel like spending $1K on tires that often either. Seriously, before you do anything give Luke a call at Tirerack. I think his extension # is in his sig, or I know it is on the website. He knows a lot about tires, and you can talk to him at length about your driving style, cost limits, mileage needs etc and he can help you to choose the best tire for your needs. He is a good guy and won't screw you. I like the RE730's a lot, but with less than 15K on them they are already near the wear markers on the rear tires. I'm not sure why as they are 300TWI tires(if I remember right), and I don't spin them like I did the 712's just to get rid of them. The wear is nice and even across the tread, NOT camber or tire pressure related. The fronts are not as bad as the rears, and I will be rotating them again soon. I would still consider buying them again tho, but I think I will probably step up to the Pole's next time.
